About

We listen, act, and transform

Amanda Rehn is a licensed Marriage & Family Therapist in the state of Tennessee. She earned her master’s degree in Clinical Psychology with an emphasis in Marriage & Family Therapy from Pepperdine University. She believes that each of us was put on this earth not just to survive, but to thrive. Amanda works from a strengths-based, solution-focused approach that is holistic and provides a space to be truly heard, supported, and accepted. Her goal is to walk with you while learning how to discover a deeper knowing love and acceptance of the self while simultaneously, drawing awareness, skills, and abilities to experience healing. Amanda is trained in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), and Brainspotting. She is informed by her meditation and mindfulness practices that allow her to integrate realizations and growth that lay the groundwork for her clients to achieve unconditional presence. Amanda’s extensive work in culinary arts has influenced her belief that your food choices impact your overall physical and mental wellness and is influenced by the emerging field of nutritional psychotherapy. Amanda earned her B.A. in Communications and German Studies from Illinois College. She is a member of the APA (American Psychological Association), Psi Chi International Psychology Honor Society, and served as a Peer Mentor at Pepperdine University. Throughout her life, she has lived and worked abroad, enabling her to build the skills necessary to work effectively with culturally and linguistically diverse communities through constant and careful awareness and consideration of an individual’s culture, traditions, language, history, gender, sexuality, and class.
